1901: Moved to Brighstone, Isle of Wight, sometime after the census was taken on 31 March. It would be really useful to view the Brighstone School Register to see when brothers and sister started school, or to view Parish Books that might indicate when Joseph was first employed by Revd Silver. Ths school register is in Brighstone Village Museum.
Between 1906 and 1912 attendances at Brighstone CE School were recorded on Certificate of School Attendance on 20 Mar 1913 as: 1906 (421), 1908 (406), 1909 (415), 1910 (372), 1912 (401). Don't know what happened in 1907 and 1911

1926 - 1934: Lived in Chillerton. Lived briefly at Downers Farm, Chale in 1935.
1935: Moved to "Meadowbrook", Yard, Godshill, IoW (cost to build house by Oliver Morris was GBP327, but raw materials bought at cost from employers, Vectis Stone).
14 Oct 1943 - 18 Oct 1945: Employed by the National Fire Service (Ref 14/D/7). This is from his National Registration Identity Card. The description on the ID card gives height 5' 9", blue eyes and grey hair.
Drove a lorry for Vectis Stone from 1924 to 1949, later drove delivery vans for Schweppes, Wooldridge (Butchers) and Owen G Day.
Member of Godshill Sports and Social Club; he competed for 48 years in the Rural District Billiards and Snooker League. He was also a keen darts player and later regularly played bowls.
1983: Died at Palmers Road, Wootton, home of daughter Gladys.
Known by various names: usually Dink, but also Jack by brother Edgar, and Randall by brother Harold.
